I went to A-kon this year. Well, to be precise, I took my daughter to A-kon this year and I was left alone to wander aimlessly amongst a sea of anime conventioneers. Which is not what one could call my native comfort zone. But among the luminaries with booths used for the sales of their wares, I came across a supremely talented artist who was quite the Steampunk artist. I hit him up for a couple of commissions which were both fantastic. I'll scan and post those at some point. But he also sold a book he'd authored called "How to Draw and Design Steampunk".
I love the style of Steampunk, but had never considered using it in my art. But I liked the guy and his work so much, I wanted to check out his book so I brought it home.
After perusing it's unique style and tips on how to go about creating a piece in this milleue, I decided to adapt my favorite comic book superhero to the Steampunk trappings. And thus, Steampunk Spider-man was conceptualized and birthed from my WACOM tablet and now offered up here for you to view, judge, critique, or whatever the comment option moves you to do. Feel free to give me feedback here. This is my first Steampunk art so I'd appreciate any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. However if you just want to leave a "You suck at this, please stop it" comment though, I will delete you. And perhaps your comment too.

I would've maybe covered his head more and changed the shoes to somehow convey that they stick to walls (suction cups or magnets perhaps) That is unless he has his normal spider powers. Also perhaps more web patterning on the vest.
Faved though, partially because you spelled Spider-Man right in the title.
I envisioned him with his powers intact. But with no web fluid, the Steampunk elements come into play. But honestly, I love the idea of climbing gear. Maybe I'll add that in later. Thanks for the comment.
