2 things, 1. Church IS Epsilon, remember? that's his AI name, like Omega is O'Malley, and Gamma's is Gary, and 2. the 3rd line of the description is wrong, i would NOT "lock him away" from me!

Point 1) They're all Church if we want to nitpick. But at this point in the show, the cast was unaware of that fact. The point was to establish the time frame. This piece was meant to capture the moment in time while Red team was waiting for Wash and Church to look for Epsilon in the storage facility and the silly things they might do with their down time. The following episode was when they found out the truth about Church. It's been too long since I made this for me to remember, but that description may have been written before Church's full story was even brought to light. I was making these pretty frequently while the Reconstruction arc was playing out.

Point 2) You say that, but the thirteenth time you had to tell him not to put his hand on the stove while you're cooking or that he's too old to have someone helping him in the bathroom, you might reconsider. ;)
